Rudheath man jailed for 10 years after 'frenzied' attack on wife

A PENSIONER who repeatedly stabbed his wife as she lay in their bed has been sentenced to 10 years in jail.
Michael Webb, of Shipbrook Road, in Rudheath, appeared before the Recorder of Chester, Elgan Edwards, at Chester Crown Court today, Friday.
The 65-year-old pleaded guilty to a charge of the attempted murder of his wife, Elizabeth Webb, in January.
The incident took place at the retired couple's home on September 15, 2011.
